What kind of software does Vimmera use?

A question we'd be happy to answer here. After all, we're often asked whether what Vimmera does is "put together" from standard components.

And the answer is no! Our software consists neither of standard components nor of ready-made building blocks that we put together. We do speak of a modular toolkit. But what we mean is our own toolkit, which we draw on to offer you components that integrate seamlessly into our ecosystem.

We conceived and developed all our software components ourselves. For anyone wondering: Of course, we use AI for this, too!

We don't (yet) develop our own LLMs. Maybe one day. We'd certainly like to.

We use proven LLMs and other AI systems (e.g. image generation or speech recognition), combine them across vendors, and optimize how they work. Take an automaker, for example: Aston Martin builds wonderful, truly unique cars. But some of these masterpieces use engines and other components made by other manufacturers. AMG, for example, supplies particularly high-quality powertrains. But Aston Martin doesn't simply use the "standard" engine. They put their own stamp on many parts of the powertrain: new cylinders, a new turbo, a new exhaust system—and modified software.

That's roughly how you can think of our work.

We take the best that's available on the market and make it even better. We adapt it to our infrastructure, which is designed for your business.

So it's more than ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot—even though we love using all three ourselves. We just do it our way.

And then there's your data.

Our Cortex takes in the data—but not simply like a data folder with a better search function.

When we reorganize data structures, we often completely restructure the data.

Do you store a PDF in your head? We don't think so.

So why should an AI system do that? Just because it can?

We don't do lots of things just because we can.

custom systems are better than standard solutions

Vimmera AI doesn't offer standardized AI systems that are simply selected from a fixed portfolio and deployed unchanged. Instead, we provide proven solutions that we select together with you and tailor specifically to your company, processes, and requirements.

Standard solutions are exactly that: standardized. For companies with individual workflows, established structures, and specific requirements, that is often not enough in practice. An AI solution can only reach its full potential if it fits meaningfully into existing ways of working and systems.

This is comparable to large ERP systems: there, too, a finished, off-the-shelf solution isn't introduced. Instead, a platform is adapted to the company's circumstances. We take the same approach to using AI in a professional business context.

However, this doesn't mean that every solution has to be developed from scratch. Vimmera AI works with a modular toolkit. On this basis, we identify the right components, combine proven functions, adapt them further as needed, and add targeted features. The result is a solution that can be implemented efficiently and tailored precisely to your company.

Sometimes our standard solutions are a good fit, too, so customization isn't always necessary.
