Computing Power and Hardware at Vimmera AI
The performance of an AI solution depends not only on the models and data used, but also on the underlying hardware. Vimmera AI deliberately relies on flexible architectures that adapt to your requirements – instead of the other way around. That is why there is not “the one” hardware requirement, but a range of solutions that extends from simple systems to high-performance AI servers.

From Lightweight to High Performance
Many applications of Vimmera AI – such as knowledge queries, support systems, internal assistant solutions, or process support – do not require extremely powerful computers. They can easily run on normal servers or even on local computers if suitable models and architectures are chosen.
For more demanding tasks, such as processing large amounts of data, complex analyses, large language models, or parallel users, more powerful systems are used. These include servers with powerful CPUs, lots of memory, and – depending on the application – GPUs or special AI accelerators.
Vimmera AI does not select hardware based on “maximum performance” across the board, but according to actual needs: fast enough, secure enough, economically sensible, and scalable.
Local Systems, Servers or Cloud
The computing power can be provided in different locations. AI systems can run on Vimmera AI’s servers, on rented systems, in private cloud environments, or directly at our customers’ sites – up to individual workstations or laptops for particularly sensitive applications.
For small or isolated environments, powerful PCs or compact servers are often sufficient. For larger organizations or high user numbers, dedicated AI servers or server clusters are used.
Scalability Instead of Oversizing
A central principle of Vimmera AI is not to oversize systems unnecessarily. Instead of buying large, expensive hardware that is rarely fully utilized, solutions are planned so that they can grow with the requirements.
If more users, more data, or more complex tasks are added, the computing power can be gradually expanded – through additional servers, more powerful GPUs, or distributed systems.
Consulting and Selection
Vimmera AI advises its customers on selecting the right hardware. In doing so, we take into account data protection requirements, budget, performance needs, availability, maintenance, and future security.
This ensures that your AI solution gets exactly the computing power it needs – no more, but also no less.
